The compressed air tank is one of the essential components of the compressed air production line. Despite its simplicity, it has a special function and many effects on compressed air  quality

The compressed air tanks are cylindrical, and two convex metal lenses are used at both ends. A round-shaped form without sharp corners at the two ends of the tank, which are the same lenses, divides the pressure distribution equally as possible because the sharp corner or edge is known as the stress enhancers and weak the firmness of the tensile structure and should be avoided as much as possible.

Compressed air tanks provide saved energy for consumers, similarly to the battery.

The request for air consumed in the production process varies at different times, and compressed air tanks make it possible to provide consumers with uninterrupted compressed air.

Consider many machines in a factory that uses compressed air simultaneously. In this case, the request for compressed air increases rapidly. Suppose there is no storage or an air battery. In that case, the pressure inside the system will be reduced rapidly, causing the machinery to be disrupted and stopped.

Turning compressors on and off or out of the circuit and circuit (loading and unloading) causes pressure fluctuations. Still, a pressure tank eliminates these rates and fluctuations and offers a constant, uniform pressure.

If a compressed air system is not equipped with a tank, the frequency, stoppage, and reset up of the compressors will increase, as well as the period of loading and unloading of the compressor will be out of control, which in addition to the severe pressure fluctuations, leading to a decrease in compressors' performance, increases energy consumption as well as a decrease in the life of compressors.

Effect of compressed air tanks on the quality of output air from compressors

The air is heated after leaving the compressors by reducing volume and increasing pressure. By storing compressed air in a pressure tank, heat exchange with the tank's surroundings is carried out, thereby reducing the air temperature inside the tank. Reducing air temperature will make more humidity density, resulting in condensate formation and discharge from the system. In a way, it can be said that the compressed air tank plays the role of a dehumidifier in the compressed air line.

Selecting the volume of the compressed air tank should be done with different and decisive factors. In the case of non-expert selection, it will also lead to damage. The selection of compressed air tanks should be such that the compressor is avoided and turning on and off the compressors continuously, as these successive turning on and off affect the power grid of the manufacturing unit. Also, over time and repetition of this event damages the compressors and reduces their life.

The correct selection of the volume of the compressed air tank will not be overloaded or over-unloaded compressors and will provide them with the time needed to cool.

After calculating and specifying the volume of the required compressed air tank, check the location of the desired tank to consider the possible restrictions for transportation and installation on site.

Air receivers perform vital functions. In many cases, a single tank in the compressor room is sufficient. In larger systems, placing tanks at multiple points within your air system can be a low cost option to improve air system performance and plant operations overall.

For both categories of compressed air tanks, accessories such as hand pressure gauges, relief valves, and automatic electric discharge valves associated with oil and water condensate will be delivered as side accessories of tanks to the customer.

Also, given that maintaining and paying attention to non-corrosion of the internal surface of the tanks is essential to maintain the safety of the tanks and lack of attention can lead to irreparable damage, Roll Air Company is a strong recommendation to all customers to install a condensate (water and oil) separator filter before installing compressed air tanks.

The capacity of more than 1,000 liters has a visiting valve for periodic repairs and maintenance, and all tanks are equipped with hooks for ease of transportation.

The maximum volume of compressed air tank registered in this company is 20,000 liters.
